Chisinau, Oct. 19 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu had phone conversation with Luminița Odobescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania and Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and discussed the collaboration of diplomatic teams to facilitate the evacuation of our citizens from the Gaza Strip, the MAEIE press service has reported.
Through this collaboration, the authorities strive to ensure the fastest and safest evacuation of our citizens through the Rafah crossing point, located on the border with Egypt.
"We also expressed appreciation for Ukraine's decision to recognize the Romanian language as the language of communication for the Romanian ethnic minority, a decision that occurred as a result of a joint effort by Romania and the Republic of Moldova. This is a clear sign of the success of our trilateral dialogue Republic of Moldova - Romania - Ukraine.
We are determined to further develop our cooperation within this trilateral format, including through joint infrastructure projects, which has already brought tangible benefits", Popescu said.
