Chişinău, Oct. 19 /MOLDPRES/- Over six hundred hectares of agricultural land under the administration of the Public Property Agency (APP) were handed over to CRICOVA winery.
"We have identified 672 hectares on which vines can be grown and we are passing them on to Cricova winery. We support it to grow and develop", APP director-general Roman Cojuhari said today.
Attending the event, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea said that winemaking is an ambassador of the Republic of Moldova that must be consolidated and fortified. "This ambassador brings a substantial profit to the country and must be supported. We need thousands and thousands of hectares of vines to modernize and expand the local vineyards. In the shortest time we will proceed with the conversion process and we expect that part of the new vineyards will be planted with organic vines", Vladimir Bolea said.
