DOC Files for admission to higher education institutions to be able to be submitted online in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ - Candidates for degree and master higher education will be able to submit the file of contest online. The procedure will be carried out based on a single desk, e-Admission Information System. The government decision on the approval of the new system was published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) today.       

The new mechanism will simplify the process of admission, will increase the speed of processing the documents and will shorten the time of stocking the files on paper. At the same time, the system will unify and automate the process of submission of files on admission to universities and will improve the record of the places financed from budgetary sources.  

The system’s implementation will give future students possibility not to necessarily move to Chisinau, for instance, to submit the acts at a higher education institution. Young people will be able to cover the entire procedure of admission in electronic variant, including by applying to more institutions and, after they are selected at one of the universities, they will physically go to submit the documents.   

The authorities estimate that the new system will be able to be used as of the 2024 year.

Twenty one higher education institutions work in Moldova, of which 13 public institutions and 8 public ones. There are 17 institutions in Chisinau and one unit in the cities of Balti, Comrat, Cahul and Taraclia each.
