MPs made amendments to legislation in sector procurement

Chisinau, Oct. 19 /MOLDPRES/- The national legislation on public procurement in the energy, water, transport and postal services sectors will be adjusted to the EU legislation.

The legislative amendments approved today by Parliament provide for more detailed regulation of mixed procurements covering the same activity, as well as contracts aimed at covering several activities.

Another amendment sees that the right to participate in sectoral purchases can be reserved by the Government to some social enterprises, where at least 30% of the employed staff represent people from the disadvantaged categories of the population. 

The document also provides for new regulations on establishment of the Public Procurement Agency's powers in the sectoral procurement and the way in which the public institution will monitor the compliance of sectoral procurement procedures.
