Balti-based Clinical Hospital endowed with new tomograph

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ - The first computerized tomograph from north Moldova, purchased by the Health Ministry, was inaugurated at the Balti-based Clinical Hospital today.
Attending the event was Health Minister Ala Nemerenco, the hospital’s administration and medical staff.
The last-generation apparatus is placed in the new Emergency Receptions Unit and will help physicians accurately establish the diagnosis in case of patients with cerebral vascular accident (CVA), with a CVA primary centre due to be created at the institution.
The advanced equipment will be used including in case of other medical emergencies: injuries, internal bleeding, heart, oncological diseases, respiratory diseases. The investigations will be free of charge for the health insured people. The tomograph’s cost is 8.17 million lei.
According to the Health Ministry, in 2023, the state ensured the delivery of 12 computerized tomographs. Eight apparatus out them were purchased for the foundation of the national service of medical assistance in case of cerebral vascular accidents. The computerized tomographs are to be set in the district hospitals from Causeni, Hancesti, Floresti, Edinet, Soroca and Comrat.
