Moldovan speaker to attend Parliamentary Summit of Crimea Platform

Chisinau, Oct. 23 /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu will participate in the second Parliamentary Summit of Crimea Platform. The meeting will take place tomorrow in Prague, being organized by Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, Igor Grosu will give a speech during the summit and will participate in the discussions on the sidelines of the plenary session and the two thematic panels. The speaker will have several meetings with his counterparts present at the event and will sign, together with chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk a memorandum of understanding between the parliamentary institutions of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. He will meet Moldovans settled in the Czech Republic.
The event will address multiple aspects of the current security situation in Ukraine and the possibilities of national parliaments and international parliamentary institutions to contribute to the Platform's priority areas of activity. More than 50 presidents and vice-presidents of Parliament from different countries and presidents and vice-presidents of parliamentary assemblies of international institutions will participate in the meeting. A joint declaration will be adopted at the end of the summit.
