Governmental commission for European integration analyzes developments in preparation for Moldova's accession to EU

Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/ - The developments in the process of preparation for Moldova’s accession to the European Union have been analyzed at a meeting of the governmental commission for European integration, chaired by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, the government’s communication and protocol department reported.
The PM stressed the importance of speeding up and carrying out, on the terms established, of all domestic actions needed for giving the final touches to the national action plan for accession (PNA), subjected to public consultations and the self-assessment of the compliance of the national legislation to the European norms and regulations.
„On the next period, it is important that we mobilize and treat with absolute priority the demands which deal with the European agenda of Moldova. We should have dedicated teams at each ministry, which will act promptly and will boost the processes. The European integration means full involvement of each of us and the country goal for which we work day after day,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.
The national action plan on accession to the European Union for 2023-2027 is to be approved till late October. Subsequently, the document is to be updated each year, following the publication of the European Union’s Enlargement Report. At the same time, the self-assessment will be carried out in December 2023-August 2024 and to facilitate this process, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry will hold training sessions for all institutions involved.
At the meeting, the members of the governmental commission referred to the European Commission’s initiative on establishing the green corridor Reni-Giurgiulesti-Galati, within the Solidarity Corridors.
