Month of European Film 2023 to be held in Chisinau for the first time ever

Chisinau, 24 October /MOLDPRES/ - One of the most important cinematographic events from Europe will reach Moldova on 1 November-9 December. Thus, starting from this year, in November, Moldova will join the project, Month of European Film. The Chisinau city will become one of those over 45 European cities where the audience will be able to watch, on big screens, movies which won or participated in such international film festivals as Cannes, Berlin or Locarno.      

According to the European Information Centre from Moldova, among the films due to be screened in Moldova, there is also the winner from this year of the Palme d’Or award at the Cannes Film Festival, Anatomy of the Fall (France), as well as films who were awarded prizes at international film festivals from Berlin, Locarno, Sarajevo and Sundance. All movies will be screened within the Month of European Film 2023.  

The films will be presented weekly on Fridays and Sundays, starting from 3 November 2023, at Cineplex Loteanu from Chisinau. The other events are scheduled at the headquarters of the most important information centre of the European Union, Europe Café. The entrance to all movies is free.
