In his speech, the parliament speaker said that Moldova was target of a constant hybrid attack on behalf of Russia and was fighting against the threats and challenges of the country’s destabilization. ‘’Russia will not renounce the hostile actions against Moldova of its own will, as it wants to preserve its status of parent state and Moldova to remain an underdeveloped colony and hostile to the West. But we oppose and resist to these threats, combating the propaganda, misinformation and attempts to destabilize the country from inside,’’ Igor Grosu said.

According to the speaker, a crucial factor for Moldova’s security and the security in the region is that Ukraine is an independent country and member of the great European family. ‘’We support this goal and we are willing to consolidate our bilateral cooperation and to back the restoration of Ukraine. I am sure that we will together reconstruct the economy of Moldova and Ukraine,’’ Igor Grosu stressed. The parliament speaker also said that, in the last year alone, the exports between Moldova and Ukraine had increased eight-fold. At the same time, another factor which helps directly Ukraine is the trilateral cooperation with Romania, which facilitates the use of the regional opportunities in the conditions of the war unleashed by Russia in Ukraine.

In his speech in Prague, the parliament speaker condemned both the inhuman war, which had lasted more than 600 days, started by Russia in Ukraine, and the bloody attacks against Israel and the violence against civilians. ‘’An entire world is shaken by the attacks which destroy the peace and order with which we have used in the last decades. The today’s meeting reconfirms our unity and solidarity against the aggression and the threats against an international order based on rules. We will succeed only united!.’’ Igor Grosu also said.
