Chisinau, 25 October /MOLDPRES/ -The electoral agenda of the 25 October day included a news conference given by the candidate for the office of mayor of the Chisinau city on behalf of the European Social Democratic Party (PSDE), Vadim Branzaniuc, on the construction of a sports complex in Chisinau.
„It is abnormal and incorrect for a city of the level of Chisinau not to have a professional football stadium, which is to be able to host important matches. The construction of a football stadium, according to the FIFA standards, is not a trifle, but a need, an issue of dignity and identity,’’ Vadim Branzaniuc said.
The president of the National Alternative Movement Party (MAN), Ion Ceban, today gave a news conference, during which he presented the programme on administration in the field of transport and easing the road traffic.
„We will continue bringing more public transport units. We will buy new trolley buses and buses, besides those over 300 units purchased. We will procure small-capacity units for suburbs and districts. We will modernize all stops and will set new stops in areas where they did not exit, for the accessibility of all passengers,’’ Ceban promised.
Also today, a candidate for the office of Chisinau general mayor, Ruslan Codreanu, at a news conference, referred to the way Chisinau residents’ money had been managed during all this period and what for 1.5 billion euros was spent.
”With a budget of 30 billion lei, equivalent of 1.5 billion euros, Ion Ceban had resources to turn Chisinau into a better city for its residents. Nevertheless, one could not notice a transparent management of these funds. No detailed report on expenses and investments was unveiled, no proper budgetary transparency was ensured. Also, debts worth one billion lei from commercial banks were added, at an interest of 23 per cent. The public transport was increased three-fold, while the debt of one billion lei from Termoelectrica remained unsettled. Besides, the Apa-Canal company was led to bankruptcy,’’ Ruslan Codreanu said.
The today’s electoral agenda included also a flashmob organized by the candidate for the position of Chisinau general mayor, Andrei Donica, on the subject, We demand demolition of the illegal terrace of Mafia, protected by Ivan Ceban.
Today at 12:00, the candidate for the office of mayor of the Chisinau city on behalf of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party (DA), Victor Chironda, waited at debates, just as he had earlier informed, the MAN president, Ion Ceban, nearby the Triumph Arch from the capital. ‘’I waited today for Ivan Ceban nearby the Triumph Art at 12:00. Mr. Ceban did not come. We have an extra proof that Ceban avoids speaking in public, as he does not have what to answer to the questions we put. As whatever he answers, he would lose votes and this not in the interests of the forces which stay behind him,’’ Victor Chironda said.
On 25 October, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) started the printing of the ballot papers for the general local elections due on 5 November 2023. The printing of those over 8,893 models of ballot papers for the general local polls will be carried out at those three printing houses contracted by CEC: Polygraphic Enterprise, Central Printing House and the Universul Publishing House.
