CNA detained suspect in bank fraud case

Chisinau, Oct. 26 /MOLDPRES/- National Anticorruption Center /CNA/ officers yesterday detained a person, announced as wanted, accused of fraud in particularly large proportions and money laundering in the bank fraud file.
According to the case materials, the suspect would have obtained a loan from Savings Bank (Banca de Economii) in 2011, in co-participation with other people, fraudulently embezzling 1,300,000 lei. On October 4, 2023, an arrest warrant was issued for the accused for 30 days.
The man was placed in isolation for 72 hours and is to be investigated.
