Moldovan parliament noted resignation of member of Pre-Vetting Commission

Chisinau, Oct. 26 /MOLDPRES/- Today the Parliament approved the decision on termination of Vitalie Miron's membership in the independent commission for assessing candidates' integrity for the position of member in the self-administration bodies of judges and prosecutors (Pre-Vetting).
Vitalie Miron submitted his resignation on October 6, 2023.
The Pre-Vetting Commission was created last April to assess the financial and ethical integrity of candidates for the position of member of the Superior Council of Prosecutors and the Superior Council of Magistrates. It is made up of six members. Three of them are proposed by the development partners, and three by the parliamentary factions, respecting proportional representation. The members of the Commission are appointed by the Parliament, with the vote of 3/5 of the deputies.
