Procedure of registration for small producers to be simplified in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/ - The lawmakers today approved a draft law which regards the facilitation of the work in the food sector.  

Thus, the procedure of registration for small producers, domestic producers and tourist boarding houses will be simplified.    

The document proposes also the amendment of normative acts which regulate such sectors as: activity with phyto-sanitary products and with fertilizers; sanitary and veterinary work; carrying out of trade activities in Moldova; regulation, through authorization, of the entrepreneurial activity; hygiene of food products; safety of food products, etc.     

Among the provisions of the draft law, there are the exclusion of the certificate of inoffensiveness (at the export or re-export) for food products, including the packed ones; simplification of the procedure of issuance of the sanitary and veterinary authorization for transport means; reducing the frequency of the collection of samples, adapted to the specific character and dimension of the enterprise, on condition that the safety of food products is not compromised.

at the same time, the amendments made are meant to improve the requirements of hygiene for the equipment, transport means and/or containers used for the harvesting, carriage or stocking of primary food products. The draft proposes the compulsory sanitary and veterinary authorization of the halls and pavilions for the sale of animal origin food products. Also, new regulations are seen for the withdrawal or recalling of non-conforming or unsafe food products placed on market.     

Another provision of the draft regards the tourist and agro-tourist boarding houses with services of cooking and serving the meal. Thus, they will be able to produce wine from their own raw material and the wine could be served or sold directly to consumers.
