Chisinau, Oct. 26 /MOLDPRES/- Today's electoral agenda, October 26, included a press conference held by National Alternative Movement Party leader Ion Ceban, in which he presented the administration program in arranging the block yards, their sanitation and solving the problem of homeless animals.
"We propose to initiate the Security ring in the capital program, which involves the registration and sterilization of stray dogs and cats. We will continue the development of sports and playgrounds in the block yards. We will build new platforms for the accumulation of waste and we will improve the sanitation process of the block yards", Ion Ceban said.
"In a short time, there will be no difference between Chisinau and Minsk," said Ion Bulgac, the candidate of the Coalition for Unity and Welfare for the position of Chisinau mayor today. "40% of the mayors elected in 2019 migrated to other parties. Specifically, 36% of the mayors who migrated went to PAS. In a short time, there will be no difference between Chisinau and Minsk", said Ion Bulgac.

The development program of the Botanica sector was presented today by Cristina Vulpe, candidate for Chisinau mayor of the Chance Party. Also ALDE head Arina Spătaru invited Ilan Shor to an online electoral debate, which will take place on Thursday, November 2, at 19:00. During a press briefing, Arina Spătaru said "all the candidates for the positions of mayor and councilor, nominated by the parties Renaissance, Chance and "Forța de Alternativa si Salvare" are openly financed by the fugitive oligarch, he controls several independent candidates and politicians from parties not officially affiliated with him".
Every third candidate for the position of mayor is a woman, and every fifth candidate for the position of councilor is between 18 and 35 years old, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced today.
The CEC presented information on the profile of the candidates for the general local elections of November 5, 2023. "For this election, 57,396 candidates for the position of mayor and councilor in local councils from 35 political parties and one electoral bloc were registered, as well as 1,174 independent candidates. Out of a total of 3,952 candidates for mayor, 2,756 (69.7%) are men and 1,196 (30.3%) are women. According to the age criterion, 14 candidates (0.4%) are 23 years old, 682 candidates (17.3%) are between 24 and 35 years old, 1 464 candidates (37%) are between 36 and 50 years old, 1,727 candidates (43.7 %) are between 51 and 70 years old and 65 candidates (1.6 %) are over 71 years old", the CEC said.
