Moldovan government approved 15% increase in salaries for medical staff

Chisinau, Oct. 27 /MOLDPRES/- Starting from October, employees in public medical and sanitary institutions included in the system of mandatory health care insurance will receive higher wages, on average by 15%. Medical staff will benefit from a 15% higher supplement for night work. Government took the decision today, and is part of the Growth for Moldova package, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Under the decision, the medical staff wages will be increased from 13% to 17%, depending on seniority in the specialty. A 15% increase is foreseen for the sanitary and administrative-household auxiliary staff.
About 48 thousand medical workers will benefit from the increase. The Growth for Moldova package launched by the government refers to the financing of development projects, salary increases and additional increases for about 170 thousand citizens of various fields of activity, education, health, central public administration or internal affairs.
