Moldovan diplomacy head has phone conversation with Slovenian foreign affairs minister

Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy PM, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has had a phone conversation with Foreign Affairs Minister of Slovenia Tanja Fajon, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Moldovan-Slovenian diplomatic relations.     

According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service, the officials discussed in detail ways of deepening the Moldovan-Slovenian dialogue. Moldova relies on the support of Slovenia in the deepening of the relation with EU, given that in next December, the EU heads of state and government will bring together to decide on the opening of the negotiations on accession with Moldova.  

„We tackled also the measures taken by our authorities, in order to turn Moldova into a stronger and more resilient state before the foreign challenges. They include the consolidation of the internal business, security and defence sectors. Also, in the context of our economic diplomacy agenda, we discussed possibilities of extending the potential of increase in the commercial exchanges between our countries,’’ Foreign Affairs Minister Nicu Popescu said.
