Moldovan Greco-Roman style wrestler became U-23 world champion

Chisinau, Oct. 30 /MOLDPRES/- Greco-Roman style wrestler Alexandrin Guțu became U-23 world champion. In the final of the category up to 77 kg, our athlete defeated the Azerbaijani Khasay Hasanli.
Before getting the gold medal, Alexandrin Guțu also won against representatives from Serbia, Albania, Belgium and Kyrgyzstan.
This year, Guțu also became European champion in the same age category.
Vitalie Eriomenco won the bronze medal in the weight category up to 63 kg, after defeating a representative from India.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), the national wrestling team won six medals at the U-23 World Championships in Tirana, Albania - two silver medals in freestyle wrestling; one gold and one silver medal in women's wrestling; a gold and a bronze medal in the Greco-Roman style.
