Chisinau to host meeting of heads of Committees on EU affairs

Chisinau, Nov. 1 /MOLDPRES/- On November 4, Parliament will host for the first time a meeting of heads of the Committees on EU affairs and the foreign affairs commissions from the EU countries.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the event, United4Moldova will take place on the foreign policy and European integration commission's platform.
Thus, lawmakers from different EU member states, representatives of the European Parliament and diplomats will debate the European perspective of our country and how the European integration efforts of Moldova can be supported.
Opening the meeting, President Maia Sandu, Speaker Igor Grosu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean, head of the foreign policy and European integration commission Doina Gherman and head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Jānis Mažeiks will address greeting messages.
The debates will be held in three sessions: European integration – achievements, actions to be taken and lessons to be learned; economic development and energy security; security resilience. Deputies, ministers, secretaries of state and presidential advisers will present the situation in the Republic of Moldova, the progress made in the EU accession and the challenges to be overcome by our country. A Resolution will be approved at the end of the discussions.
