Chisinau, Nov. 3 /MOLDPRES/- SIS head Alexandru Musteață held a briefing today and announced that the SIS data show that the Russian Federation is strengthening its disinformation capabilities in the Republic of Moldova by using websites and TV channels. For this reason, 51 websites were blocked in the last two weeks alone.
The country is under hybrid attacks from the Russian Federation. Attempts are being made to hijack the democratic processes in Chisinau through various methods and with the help of several politicians, deputies, officials and journalists.
"Recently, attempts have been made to undermine electoral processes. We stopped the attack on our country's information space. In the last two weeks, 51 websites have been blocked, SIS is taking steps in this regard," Musteață said.
The SIS head said that after the outlawing of the Shor Party, leader Ilan Shor would have migrated the party's activity to a new formation - Chance Party. It is to this formation that large sums of money were transferred to corrupt the electoral process, including from Russia. The media resources owned by Shor and Plahotniuc were also transferred to this party. Large sums of money would also have been paid for advertising on a social network.
