More European officials convey strong message on support of Moldova's European integration way

Chisinau, 3 November /MOLDPRES/ - More European officials in Chisinau conveyed a strong message on the support of Moldova’s European integration way, on the eve of a 4 November meeting of the presidents of the EU’s Committees on European Affairs and of the Committees on Foreign Affairs from the European Union member states. The joint message of the European officials is United4Europe, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.      

At the same time, in the context of the meeting, the parliament’s building today evening is lighted in the colours of the flags of Moldova and the European Union.   

Attending the event, along with the European officials, were Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and the head of the parliament’s commission for foreign policy and European integration, Doina Gherman. The Moldovan officials expressed appreciation for the support from which Moldova benefits on behalf of the European institutions and the EU member states, including in the process of accession to EU. They also reiterated Moldova’s determination to become a modern state, anchored in the European value space.   

On 4 November for the first time ever, Moldova’s parliament will host a meeting of the presidents of the Committees on European Affairs and of the Committees on Foreign Affairs from the European Union countries. The participants in the meeting will tackle the subject on Moldova’s European perspective and how the efforts of Moldova’s European integration can be backed.

The discussions will be held within three sessions: the European integration – achievements, actions to be undertaken and lessons to be learned; economic development and energy security; resilience of the security. A Resolution will be adopted in the end of the discussions.  

The event will be held on the platform of the parliamentary commission for foreign policy and European integration.
