Moldovan General Police Inspectorate says policemen to ensure public order during general local elections

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/ - Policemen will ensure the public order during the general local elections due on 5 November.   

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the press officer of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Oxana Toderita, said the institution had taken all measures needed to ensure the order at the ballot.

„Law-enforcers will have the task to ensure the security nearby the polling stations and maintain the public order. At the same time, policemen will react also to eventual notifications received from citizens. Law-enforcers ask citizens to notify the authorities, if eventual infringements appear,’’ Toderita noted.     

Also, not to allow infringements on the day of the polls, the police recommend that citizens do not enter the polling station with dangerous objects, fire arms or white arms, do not destroy electoral lists or posters and do not take ballot papers out of the polling station.
