Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has gone to vote, saying that the democracy is based on the vote of the citizens. She stressed that the free and fair elections meant the power of the people to decide their fate, the presidential press service has reported.
„I voted for people whom I trust that they will work honestly and responsibly for the good of the Chisinau residents. I voted for people who will help carry out our country project – Moldova’s accession to EU. The European integration means peace, well-being and respect for the rights of each citizen,’’ the head of state said.
The Moldovan president urged all citizens of Moldova to go to vote, as the vote means the people’s power. ‘’It is important that we have more honest people at the head of villages and cities, people about which we know that they care about our settlements and will take care of them,’’ Maia Sandu added.
