Moldovan electoral body says till 15:00 police informs about 130 cases of infringements or incidents recorded at elections

Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) till 15:00 informed about 130 cases of infringements or incidents registered at the general local elections. The IGP submitted data to this effect to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
At a news briefing, CEC president Angelica Caraman stressed that it was about 42 cases concerning the electoral agitation. ‘’Another 29 cases regard the organized transportation of voters, four cases deal with the electoral posting, seven cases – corrupting voters and 12 cases of photographing ballot papers,’’ Angelica Caraman said.
Also, Caraman noted that a criminal file had been opened for the hindering of the exercising of the right to vote in the Chirsovo settlement, Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia. ‘’All cases are considered by IGP,’’ Angelica Caraman said.
In the context, CEC urges the citizens to report the cases as to eventual infringements in the electoral process.
