MAN, PAS to have most councilors in Chisinau Municipal Council

Chisinau, Nov. 6 /MOLDPRES/- CEC's preliminary data show that MAN and PAS formations will have the most councilors in the capital's Municipal Council.

After processing 304 out of the 305 reports, MAN has got 33.1 percent of mandates in the CMC, and PAS - 32.8 percent. They are followed by the Socialist Party with 9.6%, the Communist Party - 4.4%, the Revival Party - 2.6%, the DA Platform - 2.5%, Our Party - 1.7 percent.

The Chisinau Municipal Council is made up of 51 councilors and represents the municipality's deliberative authority, while the mayor represents the executive authority. It is convened once a month, and if the agenda requires it, it is convened in extraordinary session.
