Moldovan MPs convene at plenary meeting on 9 November

Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs will convene at a plenary meeting starting from 10:00. The parliament’s standing bureau approved the meeting’s agenda.   

The lawmakers will discuss eight drafts on the adjusting of the national legislative framework to the provisions of the EU legislation, among which: amendments to the Law on natural gas and to the Law on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources; the draft law on the protection of commercial secrets; amendments in the field of copyright and related rights; the draft law on the measures of protection against organisms harmful for plants; draft law on the official controls in the agro-food sector. The MPs will also consider, in the first reading, the draft Land Code, the draft law on the rights of the child, as well as amendments to some laws, in order to bring them in line with the recommendations formulated by the Venice Commission.    

The parliament is to consider also the ratification of five agreements concluded between Moldova and the European Union, Council of Europe Development Bank, French Development Agency, International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.    

The agenda of the plenary meeting also includes a string of legislative initiatives which the lawmakers will consider in the second reading. The meeting’s agenda also comprises a draft decision on the nomination of one member to the council of supervision and development of the national public provider of media services.
