Regional hospital to be built in Balti

Chisinau, Nov. 9 /MOLDPRES/- Council of Europe Development Bank will grant Moldova a loan of 86 million euros for the construction of the Balti Regional Hospital. Today, the Parliament ratified a loan in this regard.

The loan covers about 80% of the project's total €108 million cost. The contribution of the Government of the Republic of Moldova is estimated at around 21 million euros. The maximum maturity of the loan is 20 years.

Thus, in the north of the country, a modern hospital with an area of 38,000 square meters will be built. It will be equipped with 340 hospital beds and 78 ambulatory services beds.

The beneficiaries will be the people from the northern region of the Republic of Moldova, who will have access to quality medical services with modern equipment. The Bălți Regional Hospital will be built on a 5-hectare plot of land outside Corlăteni village, Râșcani district. The project is to be implemented until 2028.
