PHOTO Stefan cel Mare Academy of Moldova launches digitalized library

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Stefan cel Mare Academy has launched a digitalized library. The project was carried out with the support of Romania, through Department for Relation for Moldova (DRRM).   

The project provides for the modernization of the educational and scientific resources of the Academy. It started on 15 May 2023 and provided for a digital transformation of the institution’s library.    

At the event, Rector of the Stefan cel Mare Academy, Dinu Ostavciuc, said ‘’the digital library gives opportunity to the employees of the law-enforcement institutions, students and  the academic environment to have permanent, simplified and quick access to a variety of documents and reference materials.’’  

For his part, State Secretary of DRRM, Adrian Dupu said ‘’the project is a quite important, as it will facilitate the educational process and will allow the textbooks to be accessed at distance.’’  

Computers for visitors of the reading room, as well as other last-generation computers meant for the library’s staff were bought within the project. Also, advanced server and scanners were purchased, which will contribute to the improvement of the documentation and research activities.   

Through the implementation of this initiative, the Stefan cel Mare Academy had a central role in the materialization of the Strategy of Development of the Interior Affairs Sector for 2022-2030 and the Matrix of Development of the Interior Ministry for 2022-2025.
