Fight against money laundering approached by MPs

Chisinau, Nov. 15 /MOLDPRES/- The national security, defense and public order commission organized public consultations on the draft amendment to the national strategy for preventing and combating money laundering and terrorism financing for 2020-2025.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the discussions were attended by MPs, director of the money laundering prevention and combating service Daniel-Marius Staicu, representatives of the National Bank of Moldova, the State Fiscal Service, the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency, the Intelligence and Security Service.

The parliament's decision to approve the national strategy and the action plan for the implementation of the national strategy will be supplemented with an additional list of reporting entities.

During the public consultations, the representatives of the institutions approached the draft amendment to the decision. The document will be registered, examined in the standing committees and will be proposed for adoption in the parliament.
