65 projects included in Express European Village Program completed

Chisinau, Nov. 15 /MOLDPRES/- 65 projects included in the Express European Village Program have been completed. The National Office for Regional and Local Development unveiled the data today.

One of the projects was carried out in Călărași city, where the central park alley was inaugurated. The works concerned the reconstruction of the pedestrian access road, which leads to the socio-cultural institutions, including two high schools, a kindergarten and the primary school. As a result of the implementation of the project, the access of over 16 thousand inhabitants to the most important public institutions is ensured.

The government earmarked almost 350 thousand lei from the National Regional and Local Development Fund to ensure the implementation of the initiative.

The Express European Village program is a continuation of the European Village Program and was launched at the initiative of President Maia Sandu to help localities implement quick projects, in a maximum of six months, that require fewer financial resources. The program includes 399 projects.
