Moldovan president: We won important victory together with citizens 3 years ago

Chisinau, Nov. 15 /MOLDPRES/- On November 15, 2020, 3 years ago, we achieved an important victory together with the citizens! President Maia Sandu conveyed the message on the third anniversary of the victory in the presidential elections.

The official pointed out that the victory of 3 years ago belonged to the citizens of Moldova and from the diaspora, who believed in Moldova. "A victory not only against a corrupt regime, which was blocking any chance of Moldova's development. But also a victory for a better future, a victory of optimism in the face of hopelessness, a victory of the unity of Moldovans and of our power to decide our fate", Maia Sandu wrote on a social network.

The president said that despite an unfair fight, despite any obstacles, the Moldovans mobilized unprecedentedly and an invincible unit was created. "Together we have embarked on a long and difficult road to creating a truly free, European state that cares for all its citizens. Victory was not a destination, but a beginning. We will move forward to meet the commitments we have assumed and to leave a better Moldova for children and young people", said Maia Sandu.

On December 24, 2020, Maia Sandu was sworn in as president of the Republic of Moldova, after the victory on November 15, 2020, when the second round of the presidential elections took place.
