President of Slovenia conveys message on support for Moldova's European integration way at meeting with parliament speaker

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar today conveyed a strong message of support for Moldova’s European integration way at a meeting with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu. At the discussions, the officials referred to the latest events in Moldova, as well as in the region, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
„We, the Moldovans, through our vote at the last three ballots, clearly expressed our wish to be part of the European Union,’’ Igor Grosu said.
The parliament speaker referred also to the progress made by Moldova in the legislative process, as well as to the dangers to which Moldova was subjected. ‘’It is about the hybrid war, Russia’s interference with the elections, the resistance on behalf of the corrupt groups in the process of reformation of justice. Despite these challenges, we, nevertheless, continue to adopt laws which are to make us resilient from the economic, energy and security viewpoints,’’ the parliament speaker stressed.
The officials agreed on a more intense cooperation between the two countries in such sectors as cyber security, environment, as well as the transfer of expertise in the process of negotiations on accession to EU.
„The today’s visits by the two presidents prove us once again that we are not alone, that we have reliable partners,’’ the parliament speaker said.
