Drivers urged to move attentively because of wet roadway in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - Law-enforcers have urged drivers to move attentively because of the wet roadway.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the press officer of the National Public Security Inspectorate (INSP), Natalia Golovco, said that, to prevent risky situations, drivers were urged to keep a larger distance from the vehicle moving ahead.
Also, law-enforcers urged pedestrians to make sure that they are noticed by drivers before crossing the street, as during rain, the risk of not being seen is higher, especially in the evening.
Meteorologists issued a Yellow Code of heavy rains and wind gustings valid starting from 17 November, 20:00, till 19 November, 12:00. Thus, heavy rains are expected (15-32 litres/square metre) predominantly in the southern half of Moldova, which are to turn into sleet in the northern region. The north-eastern wind will have gustings to 15-20 metres/second in most regions, with 21-24 metres/second in places.
