Moldovan judoka becomes European champion at Under-23

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - Judoka Radu Izvoreanu has become Under-23 European champion at the weight category of up to 66 kg. The continental competition took place in the Potsdam city of Germany.
According to the Education and Research Ministry, the Moldovan sportsman successively gained victories over Petar Radovic from Montenegro, Aydin Rzayev from Azerbaijan and defeated also the Latvian judoka Anthony De Angelis in the last act.
The last major competition of this year for the Moldovan judokas is to take place at the Grand Slam in Paris.
