Chisinau, Nov. 19 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean voted today at the polling station in the town of Codru, Chisinau municipality, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
"I voted, as last time, for a comfortable locality here, in the small town of Codru. We need infrastructure to build. We need well-developed playgrounds, efficient and comfortable public transport for the citizens of our small town", said Recean.
The official also referred to the importance of citizens' participation in the elections in the 273 localities, where today mayors are elected, and highlighted that voting is the most important democratic exercise.
"The government will cooperate in the existing dialogue formats to implement projects and develop our localities. The local public administration must be efficient, honest, transparent and, corresponding to the central authorities, have the same attitude for better coordination. After the elections, everyone: the central public administration and the local public administration must work together to build Europe at home", he said.
