Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - We go to vote to transform Moldova together! Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has conveyed a message to this effect, in the context of the holding of the runoff election of the general local polls.
The official appealed to the citizens from those over 270 settlements where elections are carried out and urged them to go to vote till the closing of the polling stations.
„Let us persuade the relatives, friends, neighbours to go to vote and elect the person who will manage the village/city in the next four years. The mayors represent the direct relation between the government and the citizen, are the ones who manage the local budget, are those who bring projects for the settlement and implement them efficiently. It is quite important that we have as many as possible honest people leading the mayoralties. Let us unite, friends, and work for our nice villages and cities,’’ Igor Grosu wrote on a social network.
The runoff election of the general local polls is held in 273 settlements of Moldova today. The polling stations were opened at 7:00 and will close at 21:00.
