Medyka Polish-Ukrainian border crossing point to be blocked from November 20

Chisinau, Nov. 20 /MOLDPRES/- The National Road Transport Agency (ANTA) announces that the Polish-Ukrainian border crossing point Medyka will be blocked as of today. This after on November 8 the institution warned about blocking the road crossing points of the Polish-Ukrainian border Korczowa, Dorohusk and Hrebenne, as part of a protest action, organized by Polish transport operators, expected until January 3, 2024.

"Starting from November 20, Medyka Polish-Ukrainian border crossing point will also be blocked. We reiterate the importance of planning the travel to Poland and consulting official sources, in order to avoid unforeseen situations", indicates ANTA.

Organizers of the protest claim that by exception, cars, buses, military and emergency vehicles, as well as those transporting fuel, live animals, humanitarian aid, military equipment, dangerous or perishable goods will be allowed. The protest action is expected until January 3, 2024.
