Deputy premier for reintegration meets head of EUBAM's office in Moldova

Chisinau, Nov. 21 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a meeting yesterday with Slawomir Pichor, Head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM), the Reintegration Policy Office has reported.
The meeting focused on the current situation in the negotiation process on the Transnistrian settlement and the perspective of Moldova's integration into the European Union.
Serebrian highlighted that for over 18 years, EUBAM has been actively interacting with the national authorities and external partners on issues related to the Transnistrian issue, effectively contributing to the strengthening of trust between Chisinau and Tiraspol and to overcoming several problems faced by citizens and agencies economies from both banks of the Dniester.
The officials pointed out that ensuring transparency and security along the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, as well as following EUBAM's implementation of customs rules and practices that correspond to EU standards and the regional context, will remain a priority.
