Call Information Centre registers about 300 calls on day of runoff election of general local polls in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Call Centre for informing voters registered about 300 calls, of which 122 entry calls and 176 exit calls, on the day of the runoff election of the general local polls.
According to the Central Electoral Commission, 25 operators worked in the phone line with an extended working schedule of up to 24 hours.
„As compared to the first round of the ballot, when over 1,600 calls were made, their number decreased now. The most frequent questions to which operators answered dealt with the functionality of the Elections Information System, the voting procedure, actions of infringing the electoral legislation, work of the polling stations’ electoral bureaus. Most calls came from citizens and operators of electoral bureaus. According to the gender criteria, more women than men called the phone number indicated,’’ CEC noted.
The phone line of informing voters has worked starting from 19 November till 21 November. About 30 people were involved in the process on this period.
