Moldovan Prime Minister talked to USAID administrator

Chisinau, Nov. 22 /MOLDPRES/- The projects carried out in the Republic of Moldova with the support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), as well as new perspectives for collaboration in the energy and information technologies were discussed online by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and USAID administrator Samantha Power, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The official appreciated the consistent support of the United States of America for the modernization of our country, improving the quality of people's lives and stimulating economic growth. Recean approached the authorities' efforts to revitalize Moldova's economy, noting that the progress made in this field is of major importance in building a resilient state.
"Our priority is to create conditions for attracting investors in various fields, starting with the wine industry, the energy field and up to the information technology segment. We know that people are waiting for welfare and we will continue to work to achieve all the goals. We are advancing in terms of ensuring peace and security, reforming justice and fighting corruption, and we are taking sure steps on integration into the European Union," he said.
For her part, Samantha Power appreciated the Chisinau authorities' progress, and expressed support for the reform agenda for the benefit of citizens. "We are close to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and we are committed to continuing our support for the achievement of the priorities assumed by the Government", said Samantha Power.
The sides also discussed energy cooperation, the expansion of renewable energy production capacity, and the importance of US expertise in various fields.
