Moldovan, Montenegrin officials approach cooperation

Chisinau, Nov. 24 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu had a meeting with his Montenegrin counterpart, Filip Ivanović, the MAEIE press service has reported.
Popescu welcomed the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro at the annual meeting of the minists of foreign affairs from the member states of the Central European Initiative (CEI), held in Chisinau. During the discussions, it was talked about the substantial progress of our country in fulfilling the nine recommendations that were positively appreciated by the European Commission in recent report, resulting in the recommendation to start accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova.
"We agreed to work on an experience exchange mechanism between the Republic of Moldova and the countries of the Western Balkans, including with Montenegro, in terms of European affairs," he said.
