Chisinau, Nov. 24 /MOLDPRES/-Disputes could be settled out of court, and the out-of-court settlement procedure of consumer protection disputes will be free. Parliament approved a draft law in the second reading today.
The authors of the document propose the establishment of alternative dispute resolution, as this tool is more flexible, faster and offers benefits to both consumers and traders. It will be used for any market sector except health and education services. Accordingly, within the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Non-Food Products and Consumer Protection, a structure will be established responsible for the conduct of the procedures.
At the same time, the amendments also refer to ensuring the rights of consumers who have access to digital content, digital services or purchase such products. Specifically, the seller will have the obligation to provide the update of the digital content or digital service integrated in the sold good.
