MPs ratified Agreement with Portuguese Republic on economic collaboration

Chisinau, Nov. 24 /MOLDPRES/- Parliament ratified an Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Portuguese Republic on economic collaboration. The document was voted in the first and second reading.

The document aims to boost the economic relations between our country and the Portuguese Republic. The bilateral relations will be intensified and diversified in several fields, such as industry, infrastructure, information technology, trade, transport, tourism, energy, small and medium business, etc. Under the document, it will be possible to provide information to economic agents about the economic situation in the two states, several visits by trade delegations will take place and cooperation between specialized entities and the private sector will be encouraged.

At the same time, it is proposed to establish a joint Moldovan-Portuguese Commission on commercial-economic collaboration, which will identify areas of mutual interest and recommend measures to strengthen economic relations.

The agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Portuguese Republic regarding economic collaboration was signed in Lisbon on September 11, 2023.
