Moldovan government approves setting up National Agency for Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence

Chisinau, Nov. 29 /MOLDPRES/- National Agency for Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence will be set up in Moldova in 2024. The government today approved the organizational structure and its regulation, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The document sees the mission, areas of activity, duties and organization of the Agency's activity. The institution will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and evaluating policies to prevent and combat violence against women and domestic violence, coordinating inter-institutional activity and facilitating the cooperation of public administration authorities with civil society.
The agency will have the status of a central administrative authority subordinate to the government. It will include 22 staff units, of which 6 management positions, 15 execution posts and one technical service position.
