Progress made by Moldova in implementing European Commission's recommendations discussed in Paris

Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s Ambassador to France Corina Calugaru today participated in a roundtable titled, European Union’s Enlargement, organized by the European Affairs Committee of the French Senate.
The event was moderated by the head of the Committee, Senator Jean-François Rapin, with the participation of the senators from the Committee and experts in the field of processes of EU’s enlargement.
The discussions were focused on the process of the European Union’s enlargement ahead of the European Council due on 14-15 December 2023, during which the decision on the starting of the negotiations on accession with the current countries candidates to EU, including Moldova, is to be announced.
The head of Moldova’s diplomatic mission in Paris referred to the progress made in the implementation of the European Commission’s recommendations, formulated in the summer of 2022 and highlighted the support of France in this process.
Also, Ambassador Corina Calugaru touched upon the organization of the Summit of the European Political Community in Moldova on 1 June this year, the country’s cooperation with the countries from the Eastern Partnership and the Association Trio, as well as the developments in the Transnistrian region, the regional security situation, the challenges of misinformation, the justice reform, the role of the Diaspora in the European integration process.
