State provides financing for development, modernization of bakeries in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldova’s Orchard project, implemented by the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA), provides financial resources for stimulating the development and innovation. The funds are available for those who use berries, vegetables or fruits in the production process.

Within the project, the minimal value of the allocations for investments is of 5,000 euros. The term of crediting is of ten years at the most, with a grace period of up to four years. Fiscal facilities, the Zero quota of the value added tax (VAT) and facilities on import are provided, through the exemption from the payment of customs duties and procedures, as well as excise duties on the import of equipment or services.

The project’s financer is the European Investment Bank (EIB). The implementation of Moldova’s Orchard Project started in 2016 and the contract on financing between the Moldovan government and EIB has a value of 120 million euros.
