DOC Work of Moldova's National Motor Transport Agency to be optimized

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/ - The structure of the National Motor Transport Agency (ANTA) will be optimized and the institution will carry out its activity based on an amended Regulation. The government decision on the optimization of ANTA’s work and improvement of the quality of control activities has been published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).    

The amendments regard, in particular, the subdivision with duties of supervision and control. In this respect, the document provides for the creation of three new departments – Department of supervision and control of road transport operations, Department of supervision and control of the related activity and compliance and the Department of support and protection of consumers.    

Also, decision-makers will consolidate the subdivision in charge of the identification, prevention and counteraction of the threats, vulnerabilities and risks which might compromise ANTA’s work. Under the document, ANTA’s control teams are to be endowed with body cameras and employees will be obliged to use the portable video supervision systems during the control activities.
