MPs approved 95 normative acts last month

Chisinau, Dec. 5 /MOLDPRES/- Parliament adopted 95 normative acts in November. In the same period, 49 acts entered the legislative procedure.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, 58 legislative initiatives were voted in the second reading: 49 laws and 9 decisions. Out of the total of adopted acts, 8 documents aim at adjusting the national legislation to the European Union legislation. At the same time, 37 bills were voted in the first reading, 6 of which aimed to harmonize national legislation with that of the European Union.
Among the documents approved in the second reading in November are projects that provide for the digitization of identity cards, driving licenses and registration certificates; bringing four laws into line with the recommendations made by the Venice Commission; EBRD offering financial support for the modernization of the railway infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova; environmental impact assessment mechanisms and strategic environmental assessment at the initial stages of planning economic activities.
