European Express Village: 76 localities benefit from modernized leisure areas

Chisinau, Dec. 6 /MOLDPRES/- A number of 76 localities in the country already benefit from modernized leisure areas, mainly through the construction of access roads to the main public institutions, as well as the development of playgrounds. The works were carried out as part of the European Express Village program.

An example in this sense is the newly renovated square in Ratuș village, Criuleni district. With funding of almost 334 thousand lei (16.7 thousand euros) from the National Fund for Local Regional Development, the park near the House of Culture was renovated in the locality.

The European Express Village program is a continuation of the European Village program and was launched at the initiative of President Maia Sandu aimed at allowing localities to implement quick projects, in a maximum of six months, that require fewer financial resources. It includes 399 infrastructure modernization projects in the villages of the Republic of Moldova, and 154 of them have been completed.
