PHOTO Thirty five international graduates of Moldovan Medical University take Hippocratic Oath

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 35 international graduates of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) took the Hippocratic Oath today.  

Attending the event were the university’s administration, heads of departments, teachers, students and other guests.  

USMF Rector Emil Ceban stressed that today was an important day for young people, a day to which they had aspired during the academic years. ‘’This solemn ceremony represents the beginning of the profession of physician, which I urge you to fulfill honestly and responsibly. We wish you much success in the professional career,’’ Emil Ceban said.   

Those 35 young people are members of the first series of graduates admitted to USMF for the Medicine syllabi in spring. Twenty three of them were born in Israel, 9 - in India and one student from Bulgaria, Norway and Malaysia each.  

Starting from 2018, the admission of foreign students to USMF has been organized twice per year: in spring and in autumn. Thus, the students admitted in spring finish their education later.
