Winter conditions on national roads

Chisinau, Dec. 8 /MOLDPRES/- The State Road Administration (ASD) announces that following tonight's snowfall, traffic on national roads is ensured in winter conditions. There are no blocked routes, the roads are accessible.

The roadmen were involved in throughout the night by patrolling works and combating slipperiness in the Northern, Central and Southern areas of the country.

"In the technological process, 210 special vehicles were trained; 279 road workers; 749.5 tons of mechanized anti-skid material; 229.7 tons of manual non-slip material; 2140.4 tons of technical salt. Our teams remain mobilized and will continue to act to keep traffic safe," said ASD.

Authorities urge drivers to drive carefully, equip vehicles properly for the winter season and adjust speed to road conditions.
